The ABC Completions' designed AirSmart system uses specific Wi-fi capable smartphones that are used to connect to the on-board wireless router supplied as part of the system. Once connected, the smartphone handheld devices will communicate through the Wi-fi connection, email reception and transmission is pushed to your email account without any user action required. The entire operation is seamless to the user and the smartphone automatically selects the available network. The system automatically connects when boarding the aircraft. Prices are charged based upon the amount of data transmitted and received, or on the minutes connected; this is dependant on your aircraft's equipment complement. The system uses Wireless LAN technology that simplifies the installation, reducing cable runs and minimizing added weight.
The system can be integrated with existing Inmarsat voice Satcom systems or it can be installed as a new stand-alone system depending on the aircraft type. The AirSmart system is installed such that voice functions of any existing Satcom are retained without any reduction in capability.
We design the system based on each aircrafts individual needs. The end result is your aircraft being equipped with airborne email capability.
