Bring your flight deck into the 21st century! For a price that makes sense. With dual Class 2 EFB’s installed in your flightdeck, and an optional EVS system as well, you will be upgrading your aircraft to the same standard in the latest in advanced flight decks as found on the worlds most expensive aircraft. (See our section on EVS for more details on this exciting technology).

The WSI or XM Satellite Weather Receiver add-on provides pilots with real-time graphical weather in the cockpit. Enjoy WSI or XM Information that you are used to getting on the ground while airborne for a very affordable price. No cost-per-minute charges, just a small annual fee for unlimited usage makes this a “must do” installation.

The CMA-1100 and CMA-1410 Class 2 EFB’s are manufactured by CMC Electronics and consist of two components: the Electronic Display Units (EDU’s) are located above the side consoles (see attached photographs). An ABC Completions custom-designed bracket is mounted to airframe and the EDU mounted on a swivel joint to allow for the individual pilot’s comfortable viewing position. The mount has two positions: deployed for normal use and stowed for ground storage. The mounting position allows the pilot to see and reach all existing controls from the seated position without interference. A quick release latch will be provided for removal of the unit. The unit is “hot-pluggable” that allows it to continue to operate normally when removed from its cradle (less aircraft interfaces of course). A variety of methods are available for easy Jeppesen database update cycles including a supplied portable CD-ROM device or wireless through Wi-Fi.

The EDU’s alpha-numeric keyboard is accessed through the lower part of the unit. When the keyboard is exposed the EDU fits perfectly within the available space in the cockpit without interference with any structure or equipment.

The Expansion Module Units (EEMU’s) are mounted in the avionics bay. Interconnection to other aircraft systems is made through this unit for FMS position, power etc. (Also for optional interconnection to such items as printers, Enhanced Vision Systems, various video sources, satellite In-Flight weather, High Speed Data Satcom System etc). In fact you can customize your EFB into a power house of information to make your life easier, and with a corresponding increase in safety of your operation. We typically configure our customer’s EFB’s with Jeppesen’s Jeppview 3.x, Flitedeck 3.x, Weight and Balance, and other customer supplied applications during the installation period so you are up and running immediately. (The installed Windows XP Pro OS allows you to install a wide variety of application software).

CMC Electronics CMA-1100 and CMA-1410 Electronic Flight Bags

Supplemental Type Certificates (STC’s), EASA (European) U.S. and Canadian are available for the Global Express Series aircraft and Challenger, for a complete list of STC’s available please refer to the STC page. This can include many options including; Jeppesen, Web Browsing, Enhanced Vision and Satellite Weather. Refer to the menu for options.

10.4″ Display Units

We have updated our STC’s to include the 10.4″ monitors. They are available on Global Express, Challenger, Falcon 2000 and BBJ aircraft.
The CMA-1410 features a 10.4″ Diagonal screen that is nearly 50% larger than the existing 8.4″ EDU when using Jeppesen’s FlitedeckR and that allows approach plates and airport diagrams to be displayed full size. This minimizes panning and zooming, reducing crew workload. This display provides an exceptionally clear and bright image in all ambient lighting conditions that is also very suitable for viewing en route charts from Jeppesen’s tm Flitedeck.
The central processor speed is 1.4 GHz and there is 16Gb of built-in flash memory, which together results in faster processing and cooler operation. There is an on-screen virtual keyboard that is accessible through soft keys for all applications requiring data entry. The bezel keys are programmable so that each application can be individually customized to your individual preferences.
All other features of the PilotViewtm system are retained and the unit is directly replaceable with the existing CMC Electronics 8.4″display.
